Cookie policy

Needed for the shop to work

These are set without asking, because the site does not function without them and none of them identify you or follow you to other sites.

ah_ship_to_v1 (browser storage): the delivery country you chose, so every price on the site is the price to your door. Kept until you clear your browser.

ah_geo (cookie, 30 days): the country your connection appeared to come from, used only as the starting point before you choose one. A two-letter code and nothing more.

ah_cart_v1 (browser storage): what is in your basket. Kept until you clear it or order.

ah_consent (cookie and browser storage, one year): the answer you gave on the cookie banner, so we do not ask again.

Pica conversation (session storage): the assistant's chat on this tab, so it is still there when you move to another page. Gone when the tab closes.

Only with your OK

These load only after you choose "OK, all cookies". Choosing "Essential only" keeps them off, and you can change your mind from the Cookie settings link in the footer.

Meta Pixel (_fbp and related cookies, up to 90 days): tells Meta which pages were viewed and which steps towards an order were taken, so we can measure our Facebook and Instagram advertising and show it to people who have visited. Meta's own policy governs what Meta does with it.

Google tag (_ga and related cookies, up to two years): the same for Google Analytics and Google Ads.

At the time of writing neither tag is switched on. This page is updated when that changes.

What we do not use

No third-party advertising networks beyond the two above, no session-recording tools, no cookies from social buttons. The share links in our articles are plain links.

Staff pages

The parts of this site used by our own team sit on separate addresses, use a session cookie to keep them signed in, and are not part of the public shop.
