What the job is
Most of the Aruba Heat you see on the island was sold by a person, not a website. Supermarkets, the Chinese supermarkets, souvenir shops, restaurants and hotels: that is where 80 to 95 percent of our sales come from, and somebody has to keep all of them stocked, happy and ordering.
That somebody is you. You visit shops, check what is on the shelf and what ran out, fix the facing so the bottles actually get seen, and take the order on the spot. Orders go into our own ordering app on a tablet, the buyer signs on the screen, and the invoice goes out by itself. No carbon copies, no chasing paper.
You will work next to Neenly, who runs wholesale today. You learn the route from her, then you make it yours.
A typical week
- Monday
- Plan the week. Check who is due a visit, who ordered last time and who has gone quiet. Load the car.
- Tuesday to Thursday
- On the road. Supermarkets in the morning, restaurants and hotels after the lunch rush. Shelf check, restock talk, order on the tablet, signature, next stop.
- In between
- Calls and WhatsApps to shops you cannot get to this week, and to new ones that have never stocked us. Yet.
- Friday
- Catch up on follow-ups, help with deliveries if a big order went out, and see how the week stacked up against the targets.
What we offer
- A product people already love. We have been making hot sauce in Oranjestad since 2008 and you will rarely meet a shop owner who has not heard of us.
- Clear weekly targets, so you always know what a good week looks like: around 30 supermarket visits, 6 restaurants, 6 calls and 5 orders.
- Our own ordering app, built for this job. Orders, shelf checks and visits take a few taps.
- Training on the route and the range from the person who built them.
- [pay: Afl. ___/month]

Who we are looking for
- You like people, and you are not shy about walking into a shop you have never been in.
- You have a driver's license and you know your way around the island.
- You speak Papiamento and English. Dutch or Spanish is a big plus.
- You are organized enough to remember who you promised what, and to log it.
- You can handle a tablet and WhatsApp without calling your nephew.
Nice to have
- Sales experience, retail or wholesale, any kind.
- You already know some of the shop owners.
- You actually like hot sauce. We will test this.
